In 1989 my high school boyfriend and I requested & paid for a caricature artist to draw us as monkeys. I suppose you could say that we commissioned this piece. As this artwork attests, we were very much in love, pre-engaged and monkeys were our thing.

Kind of like how hedgehogs are certain peoples’ thing.
