POEM: Keko Prijatelj

The setting sun

Over the desert a sight
Oasis rises and I
Remember the ocean
How a vessel approaches
A dock
I would come
Into you like a squirrel
Up a tree

Fisherman axed our joint souls
Like a bobbit worm they
Disperse into hundreds and
Fly a flag
A thousand aching colours
