Sprung Formal: Call for Submissions

I’m the faculty editor for this great little magazine. We’d love to consider your work for this year’s issue.
Here’s the call for submissions:

Sprung Formal the Kansas City Art Institute’s literary arts journal, is now accepting submissions for its 2015 issue.

We are a small literary magazine dedicated to publishing original work by developing and established artists, poets, and writers. The theme of this year’s edition will be “Ex-/ Current/ Onward.” We are seeking works that explore the past, present, and future. We encourage experimental interpretations.

Past contributors include: Mary Jo Bang, Linh Dinh, K. Silem Mohammad, Dara Wier, Matt Hart, Alli Warren, Daniel Borzutzky, Rachel B. Glaser, Mark Leidner, Sandra Simonds, Mathias Svalina, Dana Ward, Brandon Downing, Jennifer L. Knox, Sampson Starkweather, Michele Taransky, Brandon Brown, xTx, Mike Young, Ben Fama, Adam Clay, and others.

Acceptable formats:

Poetry (3-5 poems)

Fiction/Non-fiction/Essay (3-5 pieces)

Visual Work (.jpeg or .png, 300dpi, up to 50mb, 4-6 images)

Now accepting: Video/Sound (include preferred file source conversion)*

* Please note that these submissions will not be included in the printed copy, but rather found on this issue’s site.

Our submission period is February 3rd-March 8th, 2015.
