i’ve been hanging out w more ‘english grad students’
i was at this bbq w english grad students at it

i heard some of them talking abt the new lerner novel

i heard this guy, who i’m not sure if he’s a grad student or like, a fuckin partner of one

anyways he said something to the effect of like, “i’ve becoming more interested in novels about poets than poetry”

then i asked him if he’d read bolano’s savage detectives

and then he told me he’d “read some passages”

and i said “oh well i ask because that’s a novel about poets”

then he said “oh, i didn’t know that”
